  1. Its an ESEE, what else is there? The factor that sets the 3mil apart from the other ESEE 3 series knives is the sheathing options that come with it, it’s like getting 3 sheaths with one knife. Any reasonable way you can imagine to carry this knife; ESSE has already thought about it. As for the knife itself; the blade is a bit thinner than the 4 series but I don’t see that as a downside considering it is still fantastically strong even while being lightweight, which is good for backpackers such as myself.   2. Comparing ESEE-3 and Ontario Rat-3 I was in the market for an EDC fixed blade and was torn between the ESEE and Ontario; so I bought both!   3. I’ve had it for more than a year and it has been the best knife purchase I’ve made I wanted a fixed blade knife capable of fitting in my pocket while sheathed, and the ESEE 3Mil fit the bill. Even with my most shallow jeans pocket only an inch of the handle is visible. With most of my dress slacks and khaki pants it completely vanishes.
